A small but interesting entry with many good quality exhibits a pleasure to judge after the challenge of my previous two huge entries. The BOB and Dog CC winners are excellent examples of the breed with otter head, good length neck into well laid shoulders, correct length of body, flowing top line, well ribbed back into strong loin and well angulated rear quarters, short hocks and good feet, narrow throughout and spannable making for a dog that can run with the horse and go to ground on arrival. Both were in double full coats but the bitch presented better in hers and relaxed in the final challenge to show her full quality to take BOB.

1st - Keycharm Phantom by Ridgebow (Mr N Duxbury)
Three promising puppies headed by this more mature youngster of 8 months with otter head and keen expression, good size and length of body, in good coat showed and moved soundly to take BP.
2nd - Hobholt Hi Roller (Mr R G & Mrs E A Wright)
Close up meets the standard well but at 6 months just needs time to develop and settle on the move.

1st - Chatmoss King Orry at Moddeyaalin (Mrs S A Cracknell)
I liked this lighter red who excels in type and movement, super head shape well set eyes muzzle would benefit from more furnishings but has required strength, correct neck, shoulders and body length, well ribbed back to create that necessary lung room for endurance, good coat and pelt completed the picture RCC
2nd - Merumhor Midwinter JW (Mr G & Mrs H Mckenzie)
B/t that is generally well put together good shape head with dark eye giving keen expression, narrow, good length body but is slightly short in rib making for weaker loin, moved well.
3rd - Fehmarn Highland Encounter (Mrs E J Scott)

1st - Irton Morse Code JW (Mr & Mrs D Fryer)
This dog was super fit and so well and correctly made throughout, presented in good coat, just know he would do a days work but for me would prefer slightly less strength in the skull and more width between the eyes.
2nd - Kersfell Comply Or Die (Mrs M Sneddon)
Similarly well made of good type, narrow and of correct length in harsh jacket just not so positive on the move.
3rd - Otterston Top Brass (Dakers, Mrs. R.)

Excellent b/t built on correct racy lines, otter head, good top line, well ribbed back and moved out well, just needs slightly more condition to complete the picture.

Generally ok but not the front and shoulder of 1.

I love this boys head, he looks at you just right, must be shown on loose lead to see his super confirmation to full effect and is impressive when in full flow on the move, CC.
2nd - Sweeping Foxtrot For Kgills (Mr K J & Mrs G Bate)
Generally well made b/t and moves well but is shorter on the leg than ideal and was not in the best of coats

2nd - Brumberhill Blue Tempest (Mr S A Mcpherson)
B/t that I gave high honours to before and obviously still regard as a quality dog but today was in his underclothes which made him look light of frame and he had to give way to his younger rival.

Nice size and length, well constructed throughout, good shaped otter head that should develop correctly, presented well in harsh jacket and moved out well but was not so spot on as the dog in the B P challenge.
2nd - Chorbeck Miss Money Penny by Northborders (Miss J North)
Not so ribbed back as 1 but was in good double coat and overall gave a smart picture, moved positively.

1st - Ravenside Zenyatta (Mr M Lowry)
This red is correct in all departments, otter head, neck and shoulders were outstanding, stood well in full double coat which she could carry with her exceptional construction, moved with an easy flowing stride close up in the challenge but met two in better coat.
2nd - Brumberhill Beguiling (Mr S A Mcpherson)
I liked this light red for type, well made with good otter head, coat and pelt and correct body to leg length ratio but was not so positive on the move.

Very smart light red grizzle that looks so well when free standing and covers the ground on the move with ease, double coat presented well and pushed hard in the challenge RCC.

Workmanlike bitch that presents a balanced picture, good otter head, just preferred 1 in rear quarters, very fit and moved out well.

2nd - Hollowpoint New Beginning For Earthwise (Mr E Houston)
Liked this b/t with good head, correct length in body, with good shoulder and angulation in rear quarters not the best of coats which lost her this class.

1st - Bramblebrae Violet at Shiftyfox JW (Mr G Wildey)
A classey b/t presented in top condition and carrying her double coat so well, put together to fit the standard, flagged a bit when standing but came into her own when moving with style, came alive in the challenge to take CC and BOB.
2nd - Ir CH Blewecourt Manhattan At Ploughdown (Mr & Mrs E Armstrong)
Well made showy red in tip top coat, up to size for a bitch but spannable and was well handled, just a bit wayward in rear movement but close up in the Reserve challenge.

1st - Achnagairn Blue Bronte (Mrs A Fraser)
Two of similar type, not surprising as I see they are out of the same dam, I preferred the head of this blue but both had impressive otter heads, however were shorter in body and leg than I prefer but moved well.
2nd - Achnagairn Busy Brogue (Mrs A Fraser)
