I would like to thank the club for giving me the opportunity to judge the breed. I also thank the exhibitors for entering their quality dogs under me. The atmosphere and sportsmanship from exhibitors and spectators made my day a very enjoyable one. All bites were correct and I found one monorchid. Front movement in general still has a way to go and there were far too many flat open feet with thin pads especially in the males. That said I felt I had a quality entry.

Both the exhibits appeared to have had no ring training which made them more difficult to assess.
1st - Dasset Jeremy Fisher at Wildperry (Mrs J Powell)
6 months, promising head, good coat and super pelt. Moved o.k. at times but seemed a little overawed.
2nd - Big Star Olympic Hero (Mr D J & Mrs M J Read)
7 months, blue, looking more mature but I felt he had a little too much stop and his feet could have been tighter, trimming might have improved this.

1st - Cobstoneway Ocean Sunrise (Mrs G Stevens)
7 months blue, narrow all through, best feet in the class. Moved steadily, balanced head with flat skull, just hope he has finished growing.
2nd - Blewecourt Iowa (Mrs T & Mr M Morgan)
10months r/gr. built on similar lines, good tail and set. I just preferred the length of rib of the 1st and his feet could be tighter

A class full of promising babies.

2nd - Dandyhow Femme Fatale (Mrs K M Irving)
Both blues, very feminine and of similar age. Both moved out well. I preferred the feet of the 2nd but the hind angulation of the 1st and felt she had more scope and a more mature coat.

2nd - Cedarhill Irrestistable (Mrs C Dean & Mrs G Whyte)
Blue, again nice angles all round, not as strong in under jaw and slightly too strong in skull for a bitch for me.

VHC - Tilmoray Turtle Dove (Mrs M Small)

2nd - Foxfactor Goody Blue Shoes (Mrs S Godbold)
Two very similar bitches in colour and on the stand. Both narrow and easily spannable with good angles and in nice tight double coat. I preferred the shorter muzzle of the 1st and in the final move she used her hindquarters better.
