Thank you to everyone for a very enjoyable day, it’s always a privilege for me to go over other people’s dogs. I was pleased with my class winners but overall I felt that the quality of exhibits was somewhat mixed; movement was good but I have to lament the untypical Border heads that are present together with the high number of single coats

I awarded this dog his first RCC the last time I judged and I was so pleased to be able to award him CC and BOB today. Really sound to go over, absolutely balanced with nothing overdone; flat rib, good reach of neck and easily spanned. Typical otter head, dark eye and keen expression. Excellent on the move with lovely level topline maintained beautifully. As fit as a fiddle and looks like he could do a day’s work and then look for more.
2nd - CH Byrons Greengrass (Mr J & Mrs H M Thomas)
Another really high quality dog of just the right size and balance. Lovely racy body lines and up on his toes with neat feet. Moved and showed really well. Well worthy of his title.
