Thank you to the Midland Border Terrier Club committee for inviting me to judge, and to everyone who entered under me. I thoroughly enjoyed my day.
I was pleased to find no bad mouths or kinks in tails. Slightly concerned about movement throughout. Coats were a mixture, though most had good pelts. The overall size of the dogs were of good standard . I had many lovely dogs to go over, in which a couple of the classes I was splitting hairs between.

1st - Digmoor Solar Man (Miss T Peacock)
5 Month old Grizzle and tan dog. Correct dentition , A good-sized head with correct ear set which followed in a good length of neck and good shoulder . Good topline on the stand and movement. . Plenty of pelt . Racy hindquarters with good angulation, neat, well-shaped feet. Presented in a good jacket . easily spanned and ribs carried well back. Moved okay.
2nd - Dassett Infinity (Mrs R Loch)
5 months old grizzle and tan dog. Mature for its age, keen expression with a strong, short muzzle , correct ear set that followed into a good length of neck. strong topline topline throughout the class. Good pelt with good angulation on the hindquarters. Nice length of neck. Well bodied for age, with a front that should firm up with time.

1st - Dassett Silhouette (Mrs S Spafford)
BBPIS 5 month old Blue and tan bitch. Lovely, correct sized head with good dentition and well-set ears. Moderate length of neck which flows into a very strong level topline on the stand and move ,with a nice short, thick tail carried well. Small tidy feet. Spannable with well-carried back ribs and a strong loin. Moved well from all three sides. Presented in just enough coat.
2nd - Ardenholm Belle (Mrs C Swain)
5 month old Blue and tan Bitch.Much narrower bitch with a lovely, neat front flowing into small, well-shaped feet. Correct head proportions with ears well set and good dentition. Racy hindquarters with a good, level topline. Presented in a harsh double coat. Moved well when settled.

1st - Dassett Oberon (Mrs S Spafford)
1 Year old Grizzle and tan dog. Well off for bone with a broad head with a strong muzzle, correct bite, and well-set ears. Strong topline on the stand and move . strong loin and showing good angulation throughout, which contributes to a balanced silhouette. Tail is well-set. Moved well. Shown in short coat

18 month old Blue and tan dog.Narrow taller dog. Moderate head with well placed ears. Good length of neck into a level topline which was lost a little on the move. Narrow front . easily spanned with a good pelt. Shown in a harsh coat , moved okay.

2 year old grizzle and tan dog. A well balanced dog with a moderate head , presented in a harsh coat. Good pelt and topline.Narrow front and good angulation back quarters. Front movement slightly untidy and let him down in the final lineup.

2 year old with a correct blue and tan coat. Taller rangier dog with a masculine head, strong muzzle and neat ears and keen expression. Correct detention. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders. Strong balanced topline held well on the moved . correct short thick tail , set and carried well.. Shown in a tight harsh coat with thick pliable pelt. Moved out well
2nd - Staynorwood Nightcap (Mr G & Mrs C Richardson)
Nearly 2 year old Grizzle and tan dog. Preferred the size of this one , Pleasing moderate head with good proportions and correct scissor bite. Clean, narrow front with neat feet. Hindquarters racy . Easily spanned with a thick loose pelt. Moved well and balanced. Would like a stronger topline.

2 and half Grizzle and tan dog. Good-sized male with a moderate, otter head and short strong muzzle. Correct ear set. Narrow front . Neat feet with thick pads. Strong topline on the stand and move. Strong loin and ribs carried well back . Tail carried gaily. Hindquarters show nice, racy angulation. Thick pelt, presented in full double coat. Moved out soundly. RBD
2nd - Mysulan Byards Legend JW (Mrs S J Baxter)
2 and half year old grizzle and tan dog. Although Taller dog easily spannable. Masculine head. Strong muzzle. Correct ear set and detentions. Nice narrow front with good top line on the stand which was lost a little on the move , strong loin and ribs carried well back . Good rear angulations. Moved okay.

Narrow straight front with small neat feet and thick pads. Good reach of neck into clean shoulders. Well laid back ribs and strong loin. Easily spanned. Strong topline on the stand and move with tailset straight off the back & short carrot tail. Well angulated rear. Topped off with a correct jacket and loose thick pelt. Moved effortlessly round the ring today. Not overdone in any way and Beautifully balanced throughout .Pleasure awarding him Best In Show

BPB BP 6 month old blue and tan. Small feminine head , correct dentition and ear set and dark eye. Nothing over done on this young puppy which is nice to see. Lovely narrow front with neat feet. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders. Good topline with the correct tailset straight off the back would like a shorter tail.. Good angulation on the rear. Correct double coat and loose pelt. Moved well.
