My first time giving ccs in this lovely breed and an experience I enjoyed immensely .
To dig deep into such a numerically good entry and try find a pattern to type combined with condition and structure with good movement is always fruitful and I felt my line ups were good and uniform in general .
As a non specialist my intention was to find a specimen of good type but most importantly of the correct proportions and tail set and carriage . a dog in fit hard condition that can keep up with the horse and hounds on any terrain . short legs and deep chested dogs were not to my interpretation .
Dogs with good leg length and ground clearance with height at the withers being greater, a correct topline and underline ,a tail set off the back and at 45 degrees carriage were highly rewarded .
Expression is key and the otter head and expression is easily recognisable in the good ones .
Whilst most were spannable the correct flat ribs and loose pelting was few and far between .

just 6 months old and smart and stylish , correct proportions , excellent coat and texture ,good eye and giving correct expression , so well pelted , clean front and a good set on to tail , excellent active mover .
2nd - Arunmere Rhapsody In Red (Miss J Hughes)
longer cast than winner , however he is up on leg and his height to body length is proportional , super eye and expression , would like him shorter in loin , very sound behind but tends to drop topline on the move .

1st - Forest Zpod Chlumskych Haju Glebeheath JW (Mrs J Guvercin)
in excellent coat and order, so alert and responsive to handler , excellent in his forehand with the correct shoulder , hindquarters to match with an excellent set on , this correctly conformed dog is so well made it reflects in his movement and he is so sound on the move with good foot fall scoring heavily in profile action . ended up as my RDCC , he just lost out to the eventual winner as I would have liked more length to foreleg to finish the correct outline . just spannable .
2nd - Ebffiniau Whiskey In The Jar (Miss E Brinkley)
good neck and backline , an excellent keen eye but would like more strength to muzzle , was a little flighty in his temperament .

1st - CH Yorkpiece Fiery Lucifer (Mrs J L Lee)
there he stood nothing overdone or fancy totally correct to my eye ,today his body score conditioning and coat were right on the money and put down beautifully .
His profile is everything I consider correct for the breed, he has leg length , the required height at the withers , strong backline with well set ribs extending back , for me his rib shape with those flat ribs were exactly what makes him so functional and gives him that flexible pelt ,
His head is ok with enough detail ,some may find it perhaps a little old fashioned but it did not displease me in any way , I just loved him for size, outline and hands on a dream to go over, correct tail and carriage and he moves with purpose and I can see him go all day . loved him and pleased to give him the cc and best of breed .
2nd - Sui CH, CH Awbrooksky Never Back Down JW WW23 (Mr R & Miss L Goddard)
as a non specialist this male had instant appeal , he is sound he is stylish , he has a great temperament and was so well handled to get the best out of him , totally different to the winner this lad scores heavily on his conformation and movement , an excellent forehand and quarters to match , his movement in profile is breathtaking m however is a little lower to ground and deep through in his body which spoilt the silhouette for me .
