Good size with a very workmanlike appearance. Pleasing head and eye, straight front standing on good legs and feet, firm topline and a well set on tail. Good coat and pelt, very sound on the move with pleasing reach and drive.

Promising young man who presents a very typical appearance. Good head shape with a keen expression, very clean over the neck and shoulders, pleasing body shape and well developed hindquarters. Moved soundly both fore and aft, BPD.

Pleasing sort but not as forward as the winner on the day. Well balanced and of overall good make and shape. Typical in head with a good dark eye, pleasing front assembly and the best of quarters. Once he got into his stride moved well.

Beautifully made, stunning outline and built on clean and flowing lines but still has that appearance of a ‘ working terrier’ that the standard asks for. Good head, eye and expression, one of the best fronts on the day, firm topline that he holds on the move and strong well muscled quarters. Put down in excellent jacket and condition, soundest of movers, CC & BOB.
2nd - Mysulan Going Solo (Mrs S J Baxter)
Another very promising youngster but not quite as mature as the winner but has time on his side. Pleasing head with good strength of muzzle, excellent legs and feet, good body shape and racy hindquarters. Very positive on the move with good reach and drive.

Dog you need to get your hands on to appreciate his many virtues. Good size and definitely looks like he could do a days’ work. Pleasing head shape with a very typical expression, scores in neck and shoulders, firm body and best of hindquarters. So sound on the move with excellent side gait.

Pleasing sort of overall good make and shape and nicely balanced throughout. Good head and eye, well made front assembly, firm topline, good tail shape and nicely rounded quarters. Moved out well but not as positive in front movement as the winner.

Very worthy champion who I did well as a youngster. Pleasing make and shape and presented in hard muscular condition. Good head and eye, very clean over the neck and shoulders, good body shape with a pleasing topline and tailset. Moved well but felt on the day he was not as positive in front action as the top winners.

What a class, such strength in depth with some really lovely bitches missing out on the day, I was spoilt for choice.
1st - Smalesmouth Skylark (Mrs J Roberts)
She took my eye as soon as she entered the ring for her type, outline and ring presence and I was not disappointed when going over her, a quality bitch. Good head, eye and expression, excellent front assembly standing on super legs and feet. Lovely body shape with the best of quarters. Her movement was a joy to watch, one of the soundest on the day, CC.
