I very much enjoyed judging this quality entry and I left there were some particularly good bitches. As always, some classes were better than others, but my winners and the bitch line-up in particular pleased me. Heads varied considerably and also movement and fronts which still seem to be problems in the breed.

larger and heavier in build than the winner, pleasing head, very good body, excellent coat, tail set could be better, very true coming and going and his overall breed type could not be ignored

Res CC – I am sure his day will come

very good type and size, sound front and rear, rather short of coat today, head and ears not so pleasing, accurate mover and his overall type and balance are pleasing, could perhaps have done with better pelt.

this dog handles very well and he is easily spanned, excellent front, good body and ribs, hard full coat, sound legs and feet, muzzle could be stronger and he could have a little more temperament in the ring but nonetheless a very good dog who deserved his place here.

very feminine bitch and a true Border Terrier, She handles beautifully on the table and ticks all the boxes for breed specific points with her lovely otter head, wonderful coat and tail and she spans easily, ideal body properties, extra sound behind with good tail carried perfectly, moved well although she can be a little untidy in front coming towards you but her overall type in combination with outstanding breed points far outweigh this, just unlucky to meet another bitch of top quality here today. Res CC

outstanding Border Terrier who fits the standard so well, very good otter head with excellent ears and eyes, the best front I think I have ever come across in the breed and a joy to behold especially on the move, sound legs & feet and just the right amount of bone for a working terrier, perfect ribcage, good topline, pin-wire double coat, good pelt, sound racy hindquarters, good tail, well-presented and she is a very precise mover being dead true coming and going, ultimately landed the bitch CC and BOB, delighted to see her win Group 2 later in the day
