Show Type: Championship
Judge: Mr D E Fryer (Irton)
Thanks to the Club for the opportunity to go over so many quality dogs, and to the exhibitors for bringing them along. I was pleased to find , overall, a better standard of movement than I had expected, particularly in front; likewise coats, in general, were of good quality and quantity. I was, however, disappointed that so many seemed to have small teeth; mostly technically correct with only a couple with missing teeth. One male was not entire.

Attractive head, short of coat today, a bit lightly made, well angulated, moving better behind than in front

strongly made blue & tan, moved extremely well all ways, soundly constructed throughout, good coat and condition

Neatly made and well balanced blue & tan, good front, excellent small feet. Coat notable for quality and quantity, moved well round the ring; could have been slightly stronger in head.

Short of coat, would again prefer more head, moved well both ways, well turned hindquarters, but a bit steep in upper arm
3rd - Dowgri Daredevil (Mr W & Mrs T J Baird)
nicely made dog, though could have used a little more length of body to balance his leg length, and a bit more head. Moved well, slightly short of coat.

1st - Earthwise Deuteronomy ShCM (Culley, Anne; Orr, Joyce)
Strong head, with good mouth, elegant neck leading to well laid shoulder, rib carried well back and correctly turned hindquarters. Movement was perfection, coming, going and across; Coat well presented, of correct, harsh texture; just coming to it’s best. Stood well on his front and covered his ground well. Had no hesitation in awarding him his 2nd CC, and BIS
2nd - Comberdown the Rocker (Mr I & Mrs A Higham)
Another quality dog, a little heavier made, not as narrow in front. Moved well behind. Cracking coat, for depth and quality, very well prepared and shown.
3rd - Chase Me Kato At Thorpe (Mr & Mrs G Patchett)
Immediately attractive, but perhaps a little short coupled for perfection. Narrow in front, tending to toe-in a little.
Res - Iacheslei Torus JW (Miss A Harrison)

1st - Howthwaite In Violet (Mr R & Mrs E Barrett)
very smart blue bitch, quality coat and pelt. Straight and narrow front, tight feet, ribs carried well back, excellent angulation both ends, well set tail. Very promising youngster, well balanced and showing with confidence. Perhaps the best mover here today, could not fault her coming, going or driving round the ring. Needs a little time to finish skull development. Close up in the challenge, and with a touch more maturity will surely do better than the RCC I was pleased to award today.

leggier type, unlucky to meet 1 in such form. Scored in strength of skull. Moved well round the ring, driving well from behind
