Still very much a baby but of pleasing make and shape. Good head and eye, straight front standing on good legs and feet, correct topline, sound on the move. A little between coats on the day.
2nd - Joncroft Mosstrooper (M Johnston)
Smaller framed dog. Pleasing head, good eye and expression, well set ears. Very clean over the neck and shoulders, good width of quarters, moved well. Just needs to grow on a little.

Quality youngster who shows much promise. Very well balanced throughout and presents a very pleasing outline. Best of heads, dark eye and a keen expression. Good reach of neck set in well placed shoulders, firm topline that he kept on the move, well developed hindquarters. Sound positive mover with excellent reach and drive, BP & Res.CC.

B/T of good size and has a very impressive outlook. Pleasing head and a good eye shape. Best of legs and feet, good bone throughout, firm body, pleasing bend of stifle. Needs to tighten up in front movement.

Typey sort of good size and of overall good make and shape. Pleasing head with a dark eye and alert expression. Very well muscled throughout, strong hindquarters, moved well.

On first inspection looked up to size, but handled well on the table and was easily spanned. Good type and is very well made throughout. Best of heads, big teeth, good strength of under jaw. Very clean over the neck and shoulders, firm topline, good bend of stifle, moved soundly.
2nd - Raleniro Brand New Age at Alderseadale (Mr D & Mrs N Chandler)
Pleasing size and presents a balanced outlook. Good head and eye, level topline that he holds on the move, well muscled hindquarters. Sound, but not the positive action of the winner.

Best of legs and feet, firm body of good shape, best of quarters, very sound on the move, in excellent jacket. With a little more enthusiasm would have pushed close for top honours.

Gave him the Res.CC last time I judged from junior and has definitely developed into a top class Border. Quality throughout, so beautifully balanced but has the character and attitude required of the breed. Best of heads with correct eye shape and typical expression. Best of fronts, good layback of shoulder, excellent body shape, pleasing bend of stifle. Good coat and pelt. Soundest of movers striding out with excellent reach and drive, CC & BOB.
2nd - CH Irton Up Helly Aa (Mr D & Mrs A Fryer)
Different type to the winner and in full coat on the day but very good to handle and appreciate his many virtues. Pleasing head and eye, stands on good legs and feet, firm topline, strong muscular hindquarters that he uses to advantage on the move.

Pleasing head and expression, straight front well padded feet, good reach of neck set in well placed shoulders. Excellent body shape, correct tailset, pleasing hindquarters, moved out well. Had to pull out all the stops in the final line up to beat off the challenge of the Junior and Special Yearling bitches for top honours, CC.
