Show Type: Breed
Venue: Ashfordby Amateurs Sports Club
Judge: Mrs Gill Hunt (Ottaswell)
My thanks to the committee of the Midland Border Terrier club for inviting me to judge, to my efficient stewards Margaret Bailey and Jem Thomas and to the exhibitors for their entries.
The large hall made movement easy to assess. I found no seriously bad bites, all doge were entire, coats as normal were at all stages. All dogs were spannable and I saw no evidence of bad temperaments. My concern would be that the ribs of some exhibits are becoming too short and not carried well back as required

7 ½ year old g/tan who fits the standard well. Rangier than some he is well made throughout with nothing exaggerated. Typical in head, with a flat skull, no stop and the biggest of teeth. Lovely neck flows into well laid shoulder, good rib and strong loin. Loose pelt and coat at its best. Used his excellent front and rear angulation to move with confidence, freely and easily on a loose lead.
Pleased to give him BEST DOG & BEST IN SHOW.
