1st - Chatmoss Bullet Tooth Tony JW (Miss J Hughes)
This 8 yr old grizzle pleased for type and outline with moderate length of neck, firm topline, ribbed well back, easily spanned, muscular loin and tail good for both set and carriage. Masculine headpiece with moderate breadth to skull, dark expressive eyes, good ears and strong muzzle. Pleasing angles front and rear and stands straight in front on good feet. Best profile action in the class, true when going away and pretty good when coming at you. Jacket of good texture and thick pelt. Well handled. Best Veteran Dog.
2nd - Mysulan Going Solo JW (Mrs S J Baxter)
8 yr old blue/tan who also presented a balanced outline with correct length of neck, firm topline, ribs carried well back, well-muscled loin and tail set and carried correctly. Nicely proportioned head with dark, keen eye, short strong muzzle and scissor bite. He stands straight in front, is narrow as desired and able to be spanned. Moving true both fore and aft but not quite as good as winner on the go around. Good pelt and more than acceptable texture to jacket

Two very different pups challenged here with this
1st - Botterox Flint (Miss S L Hillman)
7 mth old grizzle coming out on top. He pleased for type and was good to go over. Neck of correct length to balance, firm topline but croup not quite perfect, ribbed well back and strong loin. Attractive head of good proportions, dark keen eye, ears good for size and set, strong muzzle and scissor bite. Good angles front and rear and standing straight in front on good feet. Harsh jacket and nice thick pelt. Gaiting well on the go around. Well handled. Best Puppy Dog
2nd - Awbrooksky Time For Retribution NAF TAF (Mr R and Miss L Goddard)
6 mth old grizzle who is very much a baby and needing more time. He is a little longer cast than the winner but pleased for neck, topline and tail. Moderate breadth to skull, dark expressive eyes, ears of good set and correct bite but would like to see a slightly shorter muzzle. Pleasing angles but overall winner had the edge on the move. Good jacket and pelt.

1st - Ravenside Play The Game Kersfell (Mrs M Sneddon)
Lively 11 mth old grizzle who has lots to like. He pleased in outline with moderate length of neck, level topline, good length to ribcage, firm loin and tail good for set and carriage. Nicely proportioned head with good breadth to skull, dark keen eyes, small ears, short strong muzzle and scissor bite. Good angles front and rear, standing well naturally and moves well when viewed in profile, true when going away and pretty good when coming towards. Harsh jacket, good pelt and easily spanned.
2nd - Digmoor Turn The Page (Mr M P & Mrs S V Regan)
10 mth old grizzle who was close up to the winner but was somewhat distracted and therefore not giving his all. He appealed for type and presented a good outline with correct length of neck to balance, firm topline, ribbed well back with desired narrowness, strong loin and tail set on well. Masculine head of correct proportions, dark expressive eyes, strong muzzle and good dentition. Not making it easy to fully assess his movement but looked good ok. Harsh jacket and thick pelt.

1st - Dassett Igglepiggle JW (Mrs S Spafford)
16 mth old grizzle who appealed for type and presents a super outline with each part flowing smoothly into the next. Quality head with moderate breadth to skull, short strong muzzle, dark expressive eyes, good ears for size and set and correct dentition. Ribs extend well back and can be spanned. Harsh jacket and pleasing pelt. Soundly constructed all through, standing just right in front on good feet and moved true both fore and aft. Very well handled.
2nd - Redesholt Han Solo (Mrs S McKay)
This 15 mth old grizzle also has lots to like and I thought him a good type. Balanced in outline with excellent neck, firm topline, strong loin and tail good for set and carriage. Easily spanned but not quite ribbing of winner. Attractive, well proportioned headpiece with super eye and ear, strong muzzle and scissor bite. Moves well when viewed in profile and true when going away but 1 had the edge when coming at you. Good quality jacket and nice thick pelt.

1st - Onthill Living The Dream (Miss F Wingrave)
A somewhat varied class which saw this 16 mth old grizzle take the top spot. For me, he was the best to go over and pleased in overall outline with moderate length of neck, firm topline, ribbed well back and tail set on well. Balanced head with good expression; dark keen eyes, ears good for size and set, short muzzle and correct dentition. He stands well in front, is narrow throughout and can be spanned. Moves pretty well all through. Lacking coat right now but decent thickness to pelt.
2nd - Rocket Boris Brechja (Mr J Solana)
15 mth old blue/tan who pleased for size. Neck of correct length to balance, level topline, good length to ribcage and acceptable tail carriage. Balanced headpiece with moderate breadth to skull, dark expressive eyes, good dentition but somewhat uneven ears. He stands a little wider in front than I would prefer although actually goes ok on the down and back. Moving pretty well on the go around but not quite the action of winner. Jacket could be harsher.

Balanced headpiece with moderate breadth to skull, nice dark eye and good furnishings. Going well enough on the go around but not fore and aft action of winner. Pelt rather tight.

Good quality class which was headed by this 20 mth old grizzle. Head of correct proportions with moderate breadth to skull, excellent eye and ear and correct dentition. He stands well naturally in front and has a touch more rear angulation than the winner. 1st - CH Otterbobs Tolson (Mr J R & Mrs H Gilpin)
This 4 yr old red is right out of the top drawer and ticked all the boxes for me. Excelling for type and size and so good to go over. He presents such a good outline with neck of moderate length, firm level topline, fairly narrow throughout with ribcage extending well back, strong loin and tail set on high. Super headpiece with just the expression I was looking for; correct skull to muzzle proportions, dark keen eyes, ears good for both size and set and scissor bite. Shoulders well laid, standing straight in front on good feet and firm hindquarters with correct turn of stifle. Moves out so well on the go around with confident carriage. Presented in first class order with harsh jacket and nice thick pelt. My CC & BOB winner on the day and pleased to see him later take Group 2.
2nd - CH Awbrooksky Never Back Down JW (Mr R & Miss L Goddard)
2 yr old grizzle who gave the winner a run for his money and although quite different, this lad is full of quality and another who was so good to get hands on. I thought his outline was something special with neck of correct length to balance, super topline, good length to ribcage, muscular loin and tail just right for both set and carriage. First class headpiece with skull of moderate breadth, the very best of eyes and ears, short strong muzzle, scissor bite and lovely furnishings. Good angles front and rear and standing on good feet but just a touch more width in front than the winner. Quite something on the go around and as one with his handler. Another with such a good jacket and nice thick pelt. RCC.

8 mth old grizzle who greatly appealed and I thought her an exciting prospect. Scoring for type, feminine all through and so good to go over given her correct construction. Feminine headpiece but still to fully develop; dark expressive eyes, good ears and correct dentition.
