1st - Otterwood Heartbeat (Mr & Mrs M Hollingsbee)
A puppy with an otter head and kind expression, short muzzle and good teeth. Good length of neck leading into laid back shoulders, hence a nice narrow front. He has small feet, good bend of stifle and a level top line. Better balanced, puppy than the rest of the exhibits in this class.
2nd - Tythrop Tap On Wood For Ravenside (Mr M Lowry)
Correct sized puppy with good bone but lacked expression and deeper in brisket than 1, A good length of neck but with a wider front , straight legs and small feet, good length of rib and bend of stifle and nice carrot tail.
3rd - Breckgreen Royal Mint (Mrs J Green)
A puppy which, was a little finer in bone and racier than the other two. With a narrow front and straight forearm and small feet. Easily span able and with nice flat ribs.

Lovely Blue & Tan in great condition but heavier in bone and weight than the others and unfortunately, movement a little erratic.

1st - Benattivo Stitch In Time (Mr C & Mrs S Girling)
Light grizzle dog with a lovely otter head and good expression nice small feet, good jacket and pelt and a nice carrot tail. A good top line when stood and on the move, his outline was very pleasing. Better front movement than the rear but liked him a lot.
2nd - Bandicoot Double Take (Mr G E & Mrs V L K Docwra)
What a showy dog, up on his toes with a good top line, and being racy and lean but with a deeper brisket and short in body making his underline a little steep and not gradual and I found his expression a little harsh.
3rd - Withershins Victor (Mr D Bishop)
Small nice shape dog wider in front shoulders not has laid back as the other two, brisket a little deeper and this head needs to be a little larger to balance with the size of his body.
Res - Digmoor Gambler's Fool at Visrie (Mr M & Mrs S Gregory)
VHC - Benny the Dip (Mr D & Mrs C Hodgson)
Entries: 8 Absentees: 2

Beautiful otter head, excellent double coat short tail. A nice neat front and feet, lovely outline, only movement let him down in the challenge
2nd - Onthill Fernando (Mr R & Mrs A M Ramus)
Good confirmation and pleasing outline, just not got the head of winner.
3rd - Borderella Day Tripper JW (Mrs P South)

1st - Chesterton Top Hat And Tails By Kersfell JW (Mrs M Sneddon)
A good shaped dog, racy and lean, His head was quite pleasing under all his facial furnishings. Quite a tall dog but of correct proportions, nice shoulders and length of rib, level top line and nice bend of stifle. Movement Ok.
2nd - Iacheslei Cantus JW (Miss A Harrison)
This dog was deeper in his brisket and heavier in the shoulders than 1. His bottom jaw needs to be stronger and he seemed to have a strange expression.
3rd - Bandicoot Double O Seven (Mr G E & Mrs V L K Docwra)
Heavier dog altogether, lovely tight coat, good bend of stifle and nice small feet,
Res - Brumborder River Explorer At Cynetkoy (Mr S D Watson & Mrs A S Kenna)
Entries: 11 Absentees: 3
1st - Nickeltweed Lets Go Joe (Mr A & Mrs N Harris)
Really wanted to give him the CC, but in the line up looked tired and not showing himself off as he had done in this class. Lovely balanced dog, up to size, span able with a strong otter head and kind eye. I just liked the quality that he has and everything just flows, from length of neck into good shoulders, level top line to his tail and good rear angulation, and today he moved like a dream, straight and with drive. Good jacket and pelt.
2nd - Brumborder River Skipper (Mr G Widey)
Good shoulders but shorter in body than 1 and his head needs to be larger to match the size of his body. Movement Ok
3rd - Bingobongo Hollywood Blues (Messers G R & M A Buckle & Flowers))
Smaller dog with a better head than 2, but needs more strength in his hindquarters to able to move with any drive. Hence movement erratic.
Res - Ethlencoral Pip of Ottaswell JW (Mr D & Mrs G M Hunt)
VHC - Ravenside Ballymoss (Mr M Lowry)

1st - CH Quarryway Dill (Mrs B Williams & Mr K E Johnson)
Have wanted to look at this dog more closely for a while and found his body lines good, but I would have just have liked a shorter muzzle and better expression to complete the picture. Moved better than the others in this class
2nd - CH Byrons Greengrass (Mr J & Mrs H M Thomas)
Deeper in brisket and slightly finer in bone than the winner with good laid back shoulders and flat ribs. Looked well when stood, he is a nice dog who has kept his shape and fitness only lost out today on rear movement.
3rd - Ruelata Acrobat At Redfox (Mr & Mrs D B Marr)
Red dog, slightly heavier and wider in front, well muscled and with a good coat, when stood, he was stretched out to much making his stifle straighter.

What a Lovely puppy a delight to see, with nice body lines, with a otter head and good expression, flat ribs, good bend of stifle and short tail. Moved well
2nd - Pebbledyke Pierrot (Mr K L Foster)
Another, lovely puppy, pity the where in the same class, a little longer in the muzzle than 1 and not as refined, depth of chest just spoilt the outline. Rear movement not as good as 1
3rd - Karison Kokoa (Miss K Johnson)
A pretty feminine bitch but this one was much deeper in its brisket and shorter in the back than 1st two. Moved well
Res - Karison Koffee (Miss K Johnson)
VHC - Picer Gilliflower (Mr G & Mrs S Pickering)
Entries: 14 Absentees: 4
1st - Tojamatt Isolde (Mr D & Mrs A Matthews)
1st of the nice Blue & Tans of the day. Beautiful otter head with the straightest of fronts, good length of neck and good shoulder placement, just missed out on top honours as I felt that her rear movement could have been stronger.
2nd - Picer Beersheba (Mrs H & Mr A Fletcher)
A Similar size to winner in height, but to racy. In good condition with a good length of neck and laid shoulders, nice tight feet, just not as balanced as 1.
3rd - Bramblebrae Violet (Mr G Wildey)
Much longer in the body than previous 2 and down on its pasterns, front movement better than behind.
Res - Thistlestone Jenny Wren (Miss J & Mr S May & Whisker)
VHC - Withershins Daddies Girl (Mr M J Day)

1st - Biddestone Poppyseed By Quarryway (Mrs B & Mr K E Williams)
In excellent condition her coat shone like glass, slightly heavier in her shoulders than 2nd but a very pretty bitch with a lovely expression and moved well.
2nd - Howthwaite In Violet (Mr R & Mrs E Barrett)
Deeper in her brisket than 1st, coming down past her elbows, straight in front and with well angulated hindquarters. Expression a little harsh and unfeminine
3rd - Chesterton Honeymoon (Mr A J & Mrs W Mooney)
Good body lines, level top line and good rear angulation and not to deep in brisket. But, a little too long in the muzzle and no power in the bottom jaw.
Res - Southash Party Knight (Mr & Mrs T Knight)
VHC - Bandicoot Busy Lizzie (Mrs A J Joyce)

A balanced terrier, with a pleasing outline and confirmation, her head was feminine. In good coat and condition, showed well.

Nice size, correct bone and moved well shown in her underwear today, Good length of neck and straight front, top line dipped to her shoulders.

1st - Rexlands Golden Plover By Karison JW (Miss K & Mrs D Johnson & Pearson)

2nd - Ashbrae Fern (Mr A & Mrs E Cuthbertson)
Totally different type of bitch than 1st with thicker and heavier bone, head not in proportion with a rest of her body.

Blue and Tan with an excellent jacket
Res - Pipruda Tattycoram At Shaamit (Mrs J O'shea)
VHC - Tilmoray Tranquility (Mrs M Small)

1st - Vallemoss Matilda May (Mr A & Mrs H A Fletcher)
Another of the Blue and Tan bitches which I really liked, when stood her stifle was sometime a little straight, something to watch. Hence my hesitation to award her the Res CC but she moved very well. Lovely head, small ears and good length of neck, good shoulders and straight front, good weight and size.
2nd - Bushbuster Boo Gee Woogy (Mr & Mrs Carcass)
A bitch with attitude! I like it, brought a smile to by face before I’d even looked at her on the table. A bitch with character something which is lacking in both dogs and bitches these days. Lovely shoulder s and flat ribs, coat not at its best. Just preferred the head and expression of 1.
3rd - Lutrabeck Liberty (Mr R J & Mrs C Hand)
A type that you recognise from this kennel and it was nice to see that the type and quality has not changed much over the years which I think is a rare thing these days. Lovely body lines and confirmation just lacked the head and expression of 1 also.
Res - Picer Grace Darling (Mr G & Mrs S Pickering)
VHC - Chesterton Fancy Free (Mr A J & Mrs W Mooney)
Entries: 13 Absentees: 1
1st - Yeomeadow Heather For Tyrian (Mrs K Dean)
This blue & tan bitch, she caught my eye as soon as she came in to the ring, not over done in any way with no major faults and moved soundly the only complaint that I had was that she had excess facial hair, not a good look for such a pretty girl. I think she is a good honest border and fit to do a day’s work.
2nd - Benattivo Rosina JW (Mrs S J & Mr C P Girling)
Her dense coat made this birch look heavier in front than she really was. Not as refined as 1, much thicker bone and head not as feminine, level top line with short tail. Moved well.
3rd - Trixdale Twix at Bimandi (Mrs M J Holmes)
Good head and shoulders and straight front, just movement a little erratic.
Res - Farnes Grace At Leysh (Miss C Ricks)

Red Grizzle bitch, finer in bone than 1 with flat ribs and good rear angulation.
3rd - Tameila Penny Lane By Borderella (Mrs P South)
Nice sized bitch with a kind expression and but lost her level top line on the move needed to move with more drive.
Res - Tilmoray Tranquility (Mrs M Small)
VHC - Telperion Gymnast (Mr J P & Mrs K C Young)
Entries: 4 Absentees: 2

Eight years old, but looked more like a 5 year old and moved like one too. Nice head and in lovely condition
2nd - Borderella Emma (Mrs P South)
Eight and a half, year’s old, good straight front but deeper in brisket and lacked drive whist on the move.
