Show Type: Breed
Venue: Notton Village Hall
Judge: Mr Alan Hedges (Ramblix)
This was a great day for me and I thoroughly enjoyed myself and my thanks go to all exhibitors. Also to the club for the invitation and my two super stewards.
I thought that some of the young ones had a bit too much stop, and like most other folks seem to think I thought front movement was an issue. As proper concerns, I thought one dog was painfully thin and one bitch was what I can only describe as stinking. Neither condition is good enough, for either the dogs or the owners

Entries: 4 Absentees: 1
1st - Ravenside Hurricane Run (Mr N & Mrs A Duxbury)
this is a big enough young fella. I liked his head. He has good bone, neat feet, and a good coat and pelt. His tail was good and he moved well enough for one so young.
2nd - Roxess a Touch of Magic (Mr J & Mrs N Todd)
this is a very raw puppy who has an attractive head. He has enough bone, a decent topline, standing and on the move and his coat and pelt were OK.
3rd - Foxthorn McVicar (Mr R F & Mrs S Taylor)
Entries: 4 Absentees: 0
1st - Ycart Best Shot Remmington (Mr K K Fraser, Mrs T J & Butler)
Decent headed youngster albeit with plenty of stop. He won this class on his racier lines. He has a narrow front, a good topline and moves well behind. He is well presented and will surely do well in the future
2nd - Sweeping Foxtrot For Kgills (Mr K J & Mrs G Bate)
compact blue and tan who has a strong head, good bone, a level topline and a shortish back. Moved well enough behind, but could do with taking a bit of a stretch in my view.
3rd - Master of Barton Dene (Mrs K & Mr H Morton)
Res - Foxthorn McVicar (Mr R F & Mrs S Taylor)
Entries: 2 Absentees: 0
1st - Stineval Maraschino (Mr & Mrs A Horner)
This is a very good coated compact dog. He has a better front than the second and moved better. He was very well turned out and made the most of. He moved out well and kept his topline on the move. Got a bit of style to him.
2nd - Rexlands Cock Robin (Mr & Mrs D Matthews)
I preferred the head on this one to that of the winner, but he obviously couldn’t compete with the winner in coat and movement, add to that him being a bit fond of his tail and he was having too big a hill to climb.

1st - Grettacs the Wizard (Mr B & Mrs L P Inness)
This chap was the best mover in this class. He has a straight and narrow enough front, he kept his topline on the move and had decent shapely hindquarters.
2nd - Master of Barton Dene (Mrs K & Mr H Morton)
Not as good in topline or movement as the winner and I would prefer a stronger foreface.
3rd - Foxthorn McVicar (Mr R F & Mrs S Taylor)
Entries: 6 Absentees: 2
This was much the best class so far.
1st - Vallemoss Voodoo At Roxess (Mr J T & Mrs N Todd)
This is a typy dog and I liked his head quite a bit. He has a good coat and front and he moved well behind, he also had a stronger foreface than the second
2nd - Iacheslei Cantus JW (Miss A Harrison)
This is a decent dog who is well turned out and presented. Not quite as positive as the winner.
3rd - Rexlands Cock Robin (Mr & Mrs D Matthews)
Res - Blues Boy At Brackenfell (Mr C Hall & Miss L Ellis)
Entries: 6 Absentees: 2
1st - Ragatam Joker At Paleside (Mr & Mrs D Mitchell)
This is a good sized dog who is very typy. I liked his head, he has a dark eye, correct ears and a good mouth. He has a narrow front, a decent topline, good body and good hindquarters. He moved very well behind and was pushing hard at the end.
2nd - Draycore Rokkafela At Kgills (Mr & Mrs Kirby)
This is a good all round dog. He has a nice head, good bone, decent topline and he moved OK. His coat is good, but he is not as positive as the winner in my view.
3rd - Nickeltweed Lets Go Joe (Mr A & Mrs N Harris)
Res - Oxcroft Raydar (Mr J Price)
Entries: 4 Absentees: 1
1st - Iacheslei Torus JW (Miss A Harrison)
This is a typy and well presented and turned out dog. He has quite a good head, although I would prefer a blunter foreface. He has a narrow front, a good body and a correct topline. His hindquarters are good and he moved well. He has a bit of class about him and he was my Best Dog.
2nd - Sweeping Foxtrot For Kgills (Mr K J & Mrs G Bate)
3rd - Finehaugh Fella At Kgills (Mr K J & Mrs G Bate)
Entries: 13 Absentees: 1
1st - Manorcroft Chit Chat
I liked the head on this one a lot. She has a good expression, has a well boned narrow front, a good topline and is in decent condition. She moved well, but at the moment she has even less coat than I do and this cost her. I will look forward to seeing her mature and with a bit of thatch.
2nd - Picer Gilliflower (Mr G & Mrs S Pickering)
This is a stylish and well presented B/t. She has a good head, good bone, a good topline which like the winner she keeps on the move, good hindquarters and she moved well.
3rd - Beaconpike Night Sky At Brackenfell (Mr C Hall & Miss L Ellis)
Res - Kgills Five Jive (Mrs J Broomhead)
VHC - Terracao's Megjestic At Esyntona
Entries: 9 Absentees: 3
1st - Manorcroft Wild Rose (Mr M Lowry)
lot of the same remarks apply to this one as the winner of the previous class (they are sisters). She is similarly bald, but with all the good bits she has, when she is blessed (that’s what it is) with some covering, I think she will be really nice.
2nd - Picer Hildora (Mr G & Mrs S Pickering)
I liked this one as well. She has a good coat, and plenty of other good bits as well. I preferred the head and front on the winner, but this one will surely be in the winners enclosure often enough.
3rd - Beaconpike Night Sky At Brackenfell (Mr C Hall & Miss L Ellis)
Res - Tojamatt Isolde (Mr D & Mrs A Matthews)
VHC - Vallemoss Drama Queen (Mrs A Heathcote)
Entries: 5 Absentees: 1
1st - Stineval Santina (Mr & Mrs A Horner)
This is a typy bitch with lots to like. She has a good head and a correct topline. She has good hindquarters, good bone and neat feet. She has a good coat and pelt and moved very nicely behind.
2nd - Spanwise Absinthe (Mrs L A Hardman)
I think this is a pretty decent bitch, she has plenty going for her, but I think her chances would be enhanced with better condition and presentation. Her head is attractive as is her body and hindquarters.
3rd - Kgills Five Alive at Ashallanrose (Miss D Ashcroft)
Res - Rhozzum Virtue at Chatmoss (Mr D J & Mrs P M Lockley)
Entries: 9 Absentees: 3
1st - Golden Rosa At Blackmine (Miss T James)
I wasn’t sure I heard correctly when I asked her age, but yes she is 7 months old, and for me had a right bit of class about her. I would prefer slightly less stop on her, but she has a good expression, good foreface and nice big teeth. She is very good in the body and hindquarters and has plenty of coat. She moved very nicely and I was well taken with her. She was my Reserve Best Bitch and also BPIS.
2nd - Kgills Five Alive at Ashallanrose (Miss D Ashcroft)
B/T who was rather outclassed here. She is typy and has some nice qualities, but was overshadowed by the winner.
3rd - Terracao's Megjestic At Esyntona
Res - Stoneygin Wizzadora (Rich & Kirby)
VHC - Vallemoss Drama Queen (Mrs A Heathcote)
Entries: 6 Absentees: 0
Quite a modest class, 1& 2 These are two very similar bitches. They have decent heads, are typy and moved OK. The deciding factor was that 1 moved that bit better in front
1st - Foxthorn Texas Star At Chatmoss (Mr & Mrs D J & P M Lockley)
2nd - Hattie Hopefull (Ms C Broomhead)
3rd - Tweedbriar Pheasant Quill (Miss E Hobson)
Res - Foxcraig Magic Spell At Roxess (Mr J T & Mrs N Todd)
VHC - Springhaugh Time At Kgills (Mr K J & Mrs G Bate)

1st - Wagtail Lass Via Ycart (Mr K K Fraser & Mrs T J Butler)
This bitch was the easiest winner thus far. I think she is very typy, I liked her head a lot and she has what I think is a correct expression. She has a good front and topline, good bone, a good coat, decent back end and she moved as well as any. I was well taken with her and she was my BIS winner.
2nd - Alardyn Foxgloves Charm Astrazone (Mrs C G Myers)
This is another typy bitch who has a super coat. She has a lovely expression, a good topline and a decent back end. For me she was close up but without the class of the winner.
3rd - Ravenside Ma Biche At Ridgebow (Mr N Duxbury)
Entries: 5 Absentees: 2
Two very nice but very different bitches.
1st - Ragatam Jewel (Miss T J Peacock)
This bitch has all the essentials, good head, straight front, good body and hindquarters and decent movement. She beat 2 because I preferred her size and tail carriage.
2nd - Stoneygin Mo Cuishle (Mr G & Mrs D Rayner)
The same remarks apply as above with size and tail carriage being the deciding factors
3rd - Springhaugh Time At Kgills (Mr K J & Mrs G Bate)

Two super older lads that it was an honour to judge. I thought Poacher had perhaps lingered over Christmas Dinner a bit and this cost him. Thank you for bringing them both.
1st - CH Ragatam Crackerjack JW (Peacock, Tracey J.)
2nd - CH Ashbrae Poacher (Mr A & Mrs E Cuthbertson)
