It was, again, a pleasure to judge the breed. I thought that there was a lack of depth in quality in some classes though those which were placed were more representative of the Breed Standard. A few entries lacked true breed type and one almost questioned what other breed was involved in their lineage. The most recurring fault was in front movement which was a testament to some loaded shoulders.

1st - Ragatam Lets Go (Miss B J Singh)
Good head shape and length of neck. Narrow through the body and carries correct topline. Moved well but I would not want him to grow on more as he is big enough now.
2nd - Ragatam Legend (Mrs J M Hill)
A little shorter coupled than his litter brother and didn’t move so freely behind. Coat rather between stages today but good thick skin. Another nice dog but also big enough.

1st - Comberdown Jailbreak To Vandamere (Mr I & Mrs A Higham)
Correct sized dog, typey head and pleasing reach of neck. Good depth of body and ribs carried well back. Moved with drive and shown in really good coat. Thick skin.
2nd - Hobholt Han Solo
A bigger dog and I wonder what weight he will be when mature and muscled up. Shown in heavy coat today

1st - Iacheslei Cantus (Miss A Harrison)
This was a dog of more correct size than some others which are likely to become rather coarse when mature. Good thick skin and correct double coat. Kept his topline on the move, shoulder well laid back, allowing free movement.
2nd - Ashbrae Fellman At Beaconpike (Mr & Mrs Golding)
A strong dog, bigger than the 1st but spannable. Good angulation in hindquarters and moved well with drive. Shown in good coat.
3rd - Ravenside Ballymoss (Mr M Lowry)

1st - Radnorvalley Goshawk of Rhozzum (Mrs M Sharp)
The size, weight and shape to be capable of carrying out the function of a working terrier. Ribs carried well back, fairly deep but narrow. Not overdone in any way, well balanced.
2nd - Ragatam Joker At Paleside (Mr & Mrs D Mitchell)
A little more of him than the 1st and wider in shoulder. Overall of good quality and shown in the best of harsh, double coats with a thick pelt. Nice type.

Moved well enough but not as tightly as 1. Has a good shape to the head and about the best feet seen on the day.

He has the thickest of pelts and a very good harsh coat. A true otter head is set on a neck with good reach. Good tight thick pads to his feet and well muscled quarters. He moved very well and deserved his C.C. and B.O.B.
2nd - Irton Up Helly Aa (Mr D & Mrs A Fryer)
Strong headed dog, narrow in front with a good lay of shoulder allowing for free movement. This combined with good quarters provided drive. Should be very capable of following a horse. Shown in full, harsh, dense coat. Res C.C..

A nice reddish grizzle and tan bitch with correct substance but not too heavy in bone. Good head and neck. Moved well. Good topline and tail set. BP

Similar to 1st but not quite such a true otter shape to the head. Good length of body and well angulated hindquarters.

Pleasing otter shaped head. Looks thicker than she is and can be easily spanned. Narrow fronted and moved well. Has a correctly textured coat.
