A magnificent entry, the highest in the terrier group. Some exhibits did not have a good otter head & appeared too coarse. Movement was also an issue, as it should be the hindquarters that provide the propulsion, with the topline remaining reasonably level as the dog moves. Tails were somewhat better than when I last judged at this level. I was pleased with my final line-up for both dogs & bitches.

was the best mover in the class, good straight front & nicely proportioned throughout, good in head with an unexaggerated skull, coat was at its best
2nd - Sextonmagic Willowherb (Mrs K J Blakemore)
lovely expression & moved out purposefully, nicely built throughout. Just needs to tighten up a bit & should continue to do well

still just a puppy by four days, well balanced throughout with an excellent front, coat was in perfect order & had a good thick pelt, covered the ground with ease, good head, very impressed overall. BP

A class of varying types, which made my job rather difficult
1st - Dowgri Diggory (Mr W & Mrs T J Baird)
pushed hard by 2. On the move & on the table was completely balanced, in excellent coat & was really fit & well muscled, excelled in neck, pleasing head, good straight front & good hind angulation contributed to movement. RCC
2nd - Eltonfurze Pickle (Mrs K & Miss C Johnson)
was very slightly heavier throughout, had a good front & tail & was steady on the move, in excellent coat

was pushed very close by 2. Beautifully balanced puppy, just eight months, goad front & reach of neck, moved very well. Head still developing

moved well & just preferred her head, good size & well proportioned, in good coat, pleasing to go over. To be critical, tail is a mite long. BPB
