Venue: Thorpe Willoughby Village Hall
Judge: Mrs Jane Morton-Shaw (Fehmarn)
I would like to thank the club and committee for inviting me to judge at this show. It was unfortunate for the club, exhibitors and myself that the adverse weather conditions dictated a large proportion of absentees. My thanks to everyone who made the effort to attend.
I’m pleased to say that temperaments were good and that no ‘sparks’ flew!! My only plea to handlers is that they show their dogs on a slacker lead! Dogs that are strung up are unable to move freely, and it is neither pleasant for the dog nor for anyone to watch.
Apart from two level bites, mouths were good and most were in good coat. Most were also spannable.

1st - Badgerholme Epsom Jet (Mr B Dickinson & Miss T James)
Lovely blue & tan male with excellent harsh coat. A typical otter head with good bite and lovely expression. Moved very well with good tailset, angulation and bend of stifle. Will look forward to seeing him progress.
2nd - Terabyte Red Robin (Mr J N & Miss A J Thomas)
Racier type than the first placed dog. Front movement was better than the hind action. Would have liked a stonger muzzle and underjaw. Presented in good coat condition.

Lovely sized dog, with excellent coat and pelt. A beautiful head and expression with good bite. Neat feet. Moved soundly and with drive.
2nd - Ycart Earth Stopper (Mr K K & Mrs T J Fraser & Butler)
This blue & tan dog was a little up on the leg and was short of coat. He had a good level topline on the move, but was a little close in front. Nice head and well placed ears.

1st - Secret Attraction (Mr T James)
An easy to span grizzle. His coat was not quite in. A lighter set dog than second. Lovely neat triangular ears which were well placed. Good bend of stifle and angulation. Moved OK.
2nd - Ragatam Legend (Mrs J M Hill)
A heavier set dog than No.1 and a little hard to span. He had a beautiful head and expression, with an excellent harsh coat. Moved OK.

A lovely dark grizzle male with wonderful pelt and an excellent coat. Loved his head and expression. Well laid back rib, although a little deep in chest for my liking. Good movement & tailset, balanced front and rear angulation, and good bend of stifle. Nice thick ears. BIS
2nd - Stoneygin Chesta Coppapot (Mr G & Mrs D Rayner)
A very nice dog. Coat just coming in, but could see it was of good texture. Moved Ok, topline, angulation and bend of stifle good. Excellent tailset.

Just a lovely sized blue & tan dog with a super head and expression. Good tailset. Narrow body lines making him easy to span. Moved well with drive.
2nd - CH/Swe CH Sweeping Foxtrot For Kgills (Mr K J & Mrs G Bate)
Close decision between 1st and 2nd. A little smaller than the first placed dog (which is not a criticism!) Another good blue & tan with excellent ticking. Lovely neat feet and narrow body lines. He moved well, but would like a little more impulsion from behind.

I liked this little girl and she’s a real eye-catcher. A neat youngster who was enjoying herself on the day – something I like to see from a ‘baby’. Excellent topline and movement on profile, good tailset and carroty tail, easily spanned. Dishing out with her front feet at the moment, but hopefully her front movement will tighten up with maturity. One to look out for in the future.
