Firstly I would like to apologise for the delay in this critique. I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge this show and all the members for entering and attending. I would also like to thank the stewards for the running of the ring.
I enjoyed going over all the dogs and found temperaments of all were good. Coats seemed to be a bit hit and miss today as it seemed a lot of people had taken them out after Crufts! Movement was generally good and I only found one bad mouth. I was extremely pleased with my overall winners and feel they are good examples of a Border Terrier.

1st: Hoathwood Habanero (Mrs S Hales) 7 month dark grizzle in excellent coat and condition. Lovely head with nice dark eye and keen expression. A well balanced dog with good front and rear angulation, super topline that was held on the move. Moved well on small catlike feet. This dog had a good show presence and should have a good future, it was a shame I could only give one best puppy award.
2nd: Master Foxy (Mr J Dean) Just 6 months and showed but a well constructed pup with good potential. Another good head with correct ear set and keen expression. Lovely coat and good thick pelt. Coat would benefit from a tidy up!
