First Place in Veteran - Dog or Bitch, Judge: Lauren Goddard (Awbrooksky)
Thank you to the Midland Border Terrier Club committee for inviting me to judge, and to everyone who entered under me. I thoroughly enjoyed my day.
I was pleased to find no bad mouths or kinks in tails. Slightly concerned about movement throughout. Coats were a mixture, though most had good pelts. The overall size of the dogs were of good standard . I had many lovely dogs to go over, in which a couple of the classes I was splitting hairs between.
BV 7 Year old Blue and tan dog. Excellent otter head with correct proportions. Correct scissor bite. Taller dog but easily spanned. Good length of neck into correct shoulders. Narrow front with neat feet. Racy angulated rear. Strong topline on the stand and move. Well laid back ribs and strong loin. Nicely balanced, not overdone in any way. Loose thick pelt. Shown in a lovely harsh double jacket. Moved out well coming and going.
