First Place in Open - Dog, Judge: Lauren Goddard (Awbrooksky)
Thank you to the Midland Border Terrier Club committee for inviting me to judge, and to everyone who entered under me. I thoroughly enjoyed my day.
I was pleased to find no bad mouths or kinks in tails. Slightly concerned about movement throughout. Coats were a mixture, though most had good pelts. The overall size of the dogs were of good standard . I had many lovely dogs to go over, in which a couple of the classes I was splitting hairs between.
BD BBT 2 year old blue and tan dog. Moderately broad skull with short strong muzzle , correct bite and well set ears , dark eye giving a lovely expression . Narrow straight front with small neat feet and thick pads. Good reach of neck into clean shoulders. Well laid back ribs and strong loin. Easily spanned. Strong topline on the stand and move with tailset straight off the back & short carrot tail. Well angulated rear. Topped off with a correct jacket and loose thick pelt. Moved effortlessly round the ring today. Not overdone in any way and Beautifully balanced throughout .Pleasure awarding him Best In Show
