I would like to thank Bath Canine Society Committee for my invitation to judge Border Terriers at their show. I would also like to thank my steward as she was on her own, and did an excellent job of running the ring and dogs smoothly. I’d also like to thank all the exhibitors who entered, I had a very enjoyable day going over each of the dogs.
On the whole most of the dogs were in good condition. Most dogs presented had good pelts and coats, however there were a few with thin pelts. There were a few long tails and some large ears. The movement on the whole was sound.

I would like to thank the secretary and committee of Leicester City Canine Society for the invitation to judge at their open show. My stewards Clare Robinson - Cox and Kaine Davis were very efficient and kept the ring running smoothly.Thank you to the exhibitors for giving me a lovely entry and for accepting my decisions in a sporting manner.
My interpretation of the breed standard was always foremost in my mind. The puppy class particularly gave me difficult decisions, with some quality youngsters who could change places in the future. I will watch the development of them all with interest.

Many thanks to the club for the invitation to judge at their show and for their hospitality. Thank you to my stewards, and the exhibitors for entering under me. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and was pleased with the quality present. Many of the classes were close decisions and coats played a big part in final standings. Whilst I didn’t find any dogs that I couldn’t span, having spent a lifetime around working terriers some of the bitches in particular were on the larger end of the scale for preference.

Strong bitch in good coat with a very good pelt. In fit, hard condition. Best shoulder in the class. Comfortably spanned. Moves okay in profile with good drive from behind.

It was a great honour to be invited to Judge a Border Terrier Club Open show so I would like to thank the Southern Club for this opportunity.
