Second Place in Junior, Judge: Mr Darren Lockley (Chatmoss)
My thanks to the Committee & Officers of the Club for inviting me to Judge this show but more so to the exhibitors who entered and attended, making the Border Terriers the largest entry in the Terrier Group. Having read the Breed Standard again prior to judging I was looking for exhibits which I would be happy to take out in the fields and woods for the day without worrying if they could handle it.
Two great exhibits.
17 mth Grizzle bitch. Another presented in excellent condition. Much the same as 1 on the day with the exception of coat. Easily spanned, well muscled and lovely when moving. Great head, neck and front. Teeth in correct scissor bite. Well ribbed and strong loin. Although coats are transient, today it was my only deciding factor between the two.
