First Place in Open - Bitch, Judge: Mrs Katrina Golding (Beaconpike)
Thank you, Terrier Club of South Wales, for the invitation to judge border terriers, I was delighted with my entry of 47. Thank you to my ring steward Tracey Anscombe for keeping the ring running smoothly. I had a lovely day with some lovely dogs to judge.
G/T just right for size, strong but feminine head, short strong muzzle with correct bite and lovely dark eye with keen expression, she has a correct lay of shoulder with straight front, well-muscled racy hind quarters that she used on the move, well laid back ribs, just right for bone, standing on small neat feet and showing her socks off, excellent topline and tailset, with short tail, evidence of a new coat was showing and yes more coat would have completed the picture, but I forgave it today due to how sound she was fore and aft, she powered around the ring with ease. Pleased to award her Best Bitch and Best of Breed.
