The Yorkshire, Cheshire & Lancashire Border Terrier Club Open Show (24-01-2026)

First Place in Veteran - Bitch, Judge: Jane Eyeington (Meadowdale)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this friendly and well-organised show. To all the exhibitors, it was a true honour to assess your wonderful dogs, with many decisions being closely contested. I thoroughly enjoyed my day—thank you. I would also like to thank my hard-working stewards, Julie & Ian, for keeping the day running smoothly.

Placing Critique:

7-year-old grizzle bitch presents a shapely silhouette, with well-balanced body lines that create a pleasing outline when stacked. Her head and expression are appealing, featuring a strong, short foreface and keen, dark eyes. She has a good length of neck leading smoothly into a firm, well-held topline, both standing and moving. Her chest is well let down, and her ribs show moderate spring, allowing for easy spanning. On the move, she is precise and powerful from the rear, though she tends to throw her front a little. Her coat is a fraction softer today.
