The Yorkshire, Cheshire & Lancashire Border Terrier Club Open Show (24-01-2026)

Second Place in Open - Bitch, Judge: Jane Eyeington (Meadowdale)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this friendly and well-organised show. To all the exhibitors, it was a true honour to assess your wonderful dogs, with many decisions being closely contested. I thoroughly enjoyed my day—thank you. I would also like to thank my hard-working stewards, Julie & Ian, for keeping the day running smoothly.

Placing Critique:

Feminine yet workmanlike B&T bitch is approaching 5 years of age. When standing, she presents a flowing outline, with nothing out of place, and lovely body lines. Her head is particularly feminine and well-balanced, complemented by dark eyes and neat ears. She has a good length of neck that blends smoothly into a firm, well-held topline. The ribcage offers just the right depth and spring, making easy spanning possible. Her racy hindquarters show good width and low-set hocks. She moved cleanly and true both fore and aft, though she lacked the reach and drive of today’s winner. She was shown in a lovely, harsh jacket and thick pelt.
