The Yorkshire, Cheshire & Lancashire Border Terrier Club Open Show (24-01-2026)

First Place in Limit - Bitch, Judge: Jane Eyeington (Meadowdale)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this friendly and well-organised show. To all the exhibitors, it was a true honour to assess your wonderful dogs, with many decisions being closely contested. I thoroughly enjoyed my day—thank you. I would also like to thank my hard-working stewards, Julie & Ian, for keeping the day running smoothly.

Placing Critique:

Smart grizzle bitch, coming up 3 years of age, who displays lovely overall balance and construction. She is workmanlike, with a pleasing and harmonious outline. Her neck and topline flow smoothly when standing, enhancing her silhouette. Her head is balanced and feminine, complemented by neat, well-placed ears and dark, intelligent eyes with a hint of mischief. She stands on clean, straight forelegs with small, well-padded feet. Her chest is well let down, with the correct spring to the ribcage, making her easy to span. Topline remains firm both standing and moving, falling away fractionally at the croup, and is finished with a good carrot tail, and strong hindquarters. She moves with purpose and drive, and is presented in a good coat and thick pelt. Delighted to award her BB & BOS
