The Yorkshire, Cheshire & Lancashire Border Terrier Club Open Show (24-01-2026)

Second Place in Puppy - Bitch, Judge: Jane Eyeington (Meadowdale)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this friendly and well-organised show. To all the exhibitors, it was a true honour to assess your wonderful dogs, with many decisions being closely contested. I thoroughly enjoyed my day—thank you. I would also like to thank my hard-working stewards, Julie & Ian, for keeping the day running smoothly.

Placing Critique:

10-month-old grizzle bitch possesses an appealing overall shape and size, very feminine. I liked her head, which showed good balance and proportions, with ample skull width and strength through the muzzle. She has a pleasing length of neck that flows into a firm topline. Her tail is slightly longer and was carried a touch high on the move. I preferred her coat to the winner’s, appreciating its harsh texture. However, she was somewhat erratic on the move in this class.
