Second Place in Open, Judge: Rhianne Mitchell
I want to thank the society for inviting me to judge Border Terriers for the first time. I was absolutely thrilled with my entry, and I had some lovely exhibits to go over and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was pleased to see all had good bites, all had good temperaments and most were in good coat. A few, particularly the males, were verging on too big for me. Also, I feel I should urge exhibitors not to run with their dogs, it makes the movement harder to assess and can cause the dogs not to stride out properly. Thank you all for entering under me and thank you to my brilliant stewards Helen and Kev for keeping the ring running efficiently and smoothly.
A pretty 4 year old grizzle and tan B. Loved her head, otter shaped with a sweet expression and kind eyes. Good teeth and bite. She moved well, driven from the rear and held her outline on the move, stood on solid, compact feet. Good lay of rib, potentially carrying a little too much condition but otherwise a lovely girl
