First Place in Open - Bitch, Judge: Mrs M Fleming (Flegato)
A big thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge my favourite breed at their lovely friendly show and for the warm welcome, and to the Border Terrier Club for supporting the entry. I am also very grateful to the exhibitors who entered and let me go over their lovely dogs. Thank you also to the hardworking stewards. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and was very lucky to have the opportunity to go over some quality borders.
almost 4 year old G&T bitch that I admired so many times in the ring before and she did not disappoint. She has a feminine head with a flat skull, correct bite and keen inquisitive expression. Straight narrow well constructed front. Liked the length and shape of her rib, she was very easy to span and came to hand well. With well angulated front and rear and well let down hocks, she moved around the ring with ease maintaining her topline. Not a lot of coat today but plenty enough to see and feel the harsh texture on good pelt. Freestanding and attentive to the handler. Very nice balanced bitch, full of breed type. BB and BOB. Pleased to see her being awarded TG3.
