First Place in Open - Dog, Judge: Mrs M Fleming (Flegato)
A big thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge my favourite breed at their lovely friendly show and for the warm welcome, and to the Border Terrier Club for supporting the entry. I am also very grateful to the exhibitors who entered and let me go over their lovely dogs. Thank you also to the hardworking stewards. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and was very lucky to have the opportunity to go over some quality borders.
5 year old red grizzle dog of handy size, in super fit condition. Ottery head with moderately broad flat skull with very little stop, kind expressive eye and good bite. Correct double coat with top coat of good depth and texture and thick loose pelt. Very easy to span, liked his length of rib, shape and outline. Moved well, maintaining firm topline on the move. Very nice balanced border, BD and RBOB.
