First Place in Open - Bitch, Judge: Mrs Anne Higham (Comberdown)
Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge the show and for your great hospitality. Thanks also to my stewarts on the day, Marina and Jane, who kept everything running smoothly and enabled me to finish judging in good time. I would also like to thank all the exhibitors for their entries.
Coats were at various stages on the day and I found one kinked tail and one mouth with misaligned teeth. I also noticed that a few of the exhibits had small teeth which we do not want to become the norm and should be discouraged.
Grizzle and tan. Feminine head with dark eye and keen expression. Strength to muzzle and large teeth with scissor bite. Narrow, straight front. Good reach of neck leading to well angulated shoulders which flows into level topline and correct tailset. Strong loin, good bend of stifle to hindquarters. Easily spanned with ribs carried well back. Lovely reach to front and drive from rear made her flow round the ring. In good coat and fit condition. A quality bitch that stood away today.
