The Northern Border Terrier Club Open Show (05-10-2025)

First Place in Limit - Bitch, Judge: Libby Wain (Itsaso)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to Judge their open show, the hospitality was fantastic. I would also all the exhibitors who entered allowing me the pleasure of going over their dogs. My stewards done an amazing job keeping the ring flowing throughout the day. Overall the quality of the entry was good; however my one observation is that we are beginning to lose correct front movement, with wide fronts or flicking at the pasterns creeping in.

Class Critique:

What a class this was with many I’m sure changing places on different days

Placing Critique:

A quality bitch who took my eye when she came into the ring for her balance and type. Presented in a full coat with thick pelt. She has a feminine yet strong head with keen expression. Her neck flowed into a well-placed shoulder, straight front and neat padded feet. She had a well-laid back rib which was easily spanned. Good front and rear angulation meant she moved around the ring with drive holding her topline. Free stood to advantage she never stopped showing to take BIS.
