The Northern Border Terrier Club Open Show (05-10-2025)

First Place in Post Graduate - Dog, Judge: Libby Wain (Itsaso)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to Judge their open show, the hospitality was fantastic. I would also all the exhibitors who entered allowing me the pleasure of going over their dogs. My stewards done an amazing job keeping the ring flowing throughout the day. Overall the quality of the entry was good; however my one observation is that we are beginning to lose correct front movement, with wide fronts or flicking at the pasterns creeping in.

Placing Critique:

A dog who appealed for his make, shape and size. Moderately broad skull with strong jaw and correct bite, neat ears and a keen expression. His neck flowed into a well-placed shoulder and straight front, leading to neat feet. He has a good lay of rib, allowing for him to be easily spanned. Good rear angulation, which he used to move around the ring soundly and with drive, holding his topline at all times. Presented in a full coat, which was tail end. A dog you need to get your hands on to appreciate.
