Second Place in Post Graduate, Judge: Sarah Pateman (Lessien)

Show Critique:

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the committee for inviting me to judge the Border Terriers at their show. Although the journey the preceding day was lengthy, it proved to be truly worthwhile. I was privileged to assess an outstanding entry of high-quality dogs and bitches, and I am grateful to all the exhibitors for affording me this opportunity. While the size of the ring presented some logistical challenges, the Border Terrier community adapted admirably and ensured the event ran smoothly. The committee demonstrated excellent attentiveness throughout, as did the two stewards who supported me during the show. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this event.

Placing Critique:

(Grizzle and Tan Bitch) This bitch is very feminine in all aspects, displaying a distinctively dark eye that enhances her overall expression. Her neck is of correct length and flows smoothly into a well-laid shoulder, which supports her balanced silhouette. She is narrow throughout and can be easily spanned, a feature that contributes to her type and functionality. Her jacket is good and harsh, complemented by a pliable pelt, providing both protection and flexibility. On the move, she performed satisfactorily, maintaining composure and demonstrating her sound construction.
