Salisbury & South Wilts CS Open Show (21-09-2025)

Third Place in Special Yearling, Judge: Sarah Pateman (Lessien)

Show Critique:

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the committee for inviting me to judge the Border Terriers at their show. Although the journey the preceding day was lengthy, it proved to be truly worthwhile. I was privileged to assess an outstanding entry of high-quality dogs and bitches, and I am grateful to all the exhibitors for affording me this opportunity. While the size of the ring presented some logistical challenges, the Border Terrier community adapted admirably and ensured the event ran smoothly. The committee demonstrated excellent attentiveness throughout, as did the two stewards who supported me during the show. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this event.

Placing Critique:

(Grizzle and Tan Bitch) BP and TPG1 She presents a strong head and displays maturity in both physical structure and overall size; nevertheless, she retains a distinctly feminine appearance. Her mouth is correct, and the lay of her shoulder is also accurate, providing her with excellent balance whilst on the move. She stands on small feet with thick pads, enhancing her stability and soundness. Her jacket is of good quality and correct texture, supported by a thick pelt. This combination of attributes earned her Best Puppy, and she subsequently progressed to win TPG1.
