First Place in Special Yearling, Judge: Sarah Pateman (Lessien)
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the committee for inviting me to judge the Border Terriers at their show. Although the journey the preceding day was lengthy, it proved to be truly worthwhile. I was privileged to assess an outstanding entry of high-quality dogs and bitches, and I am grateful to all the exhibitors for affording me this opportunity. While the size of the ring presented some logistical challenges, the Border Terrier community adapted admirably and ensured the event ran smoothly. The committee demonstrated excellent attentiveness throughout, as did the two stewards who supported me during the show. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this event.
(Grizzle and tan Dog) Muzzle of good length and a correct bite. His keen expression and confident demeanour are immediately apparent. He has a good topline and tail set, both of which are maintained as he moves with purpose and energy. His movement is efficient, enabling him to cover the ground with ease. The strength of his thick pads on small, tight feet further enhances his performance and stability, and he is easily spanned, good jacket with thick pelt.
