First Place in Veteran - Dog, Judge: Miss Katie Hamilton (Cromlechs)
Firstly I would like to thank the Birmingham National Dog Show committee for inviting me to judge the Border Terriers for them. It was a great honour and I was so pleased to recieve a super entry and overall a lovely quality of exhibits to judge on the day. Special thanks also goes to my stewards that helped my day run so smoothly and efficiently.
As soon as this boy entered the ring he caught my eye. Veteran by age but definitely not by personality. Lovely tight harsh coat and good pelt. He has the most beautiful head with a super expression, strong muzzle with a correct bite, moderately broad skull with dark well set on ears. His body flows from head to toe with no exaggerations whatsoever and completely balanced. Good reach of neck and correct shoulder with a straight front. Ribs carried well back and easily spanned. Narrow throughout with a good loin. Level topline and small carrot shaped tail well set on. He is in super fit condition and has racy hindquarters with good angulation and moved with ease around the ring. A pleasure to judge and award
