First Place in Junior - Bitch, Judge: Glen Birrell
I would like to thank the Officers and Committee of the West Midlands Terrier Society and The Border Terrier Club for choosing me for this appointment, my first breed supported show.
Also thank you to all the exhibitors that chose to give me an entry and allowed me to go over their exhibits.
Today was a cooler day so I asked all classes to warm up with two laps of the ring so they could show themselves to their best.
There were some very good exhibits for me to judge, and there were many hair splitting decisions to be made for the placements in some classes.
Mouths were good in all exhibits and there were no noticeable kinks in tails. One thing we do need to keep an eye on is being able to span a Border Terrier so they would be able to do the job they were built for.
G/T 1 year. Neat otter head, keen expression good reach of neck and narrow front construction. Spanned easily, shoulders set back, neat feet and thick pads. Good double coat, nicely muscled on rear quarters and typical carrot tail. BB & RBOB.
