First Place in Open - Bitch, Judge: Amelie Smith (Alncroft)
Thank you very much to the WMTS society for inviting me to judge at their show once again. It was a pleasure officiating at such a well run show, organised by true terrier enthusiasts. I was very pleased with my entries for both Border and Jack Russell Terriers. I was very pleased with my principle winners. I would also like to extend my appreciation to the exhibitors for their entries.
A Border through and through. Feminine young bitch who could easily do a day’s work. Such a lovely temperament, one that a border should have. Striking head with all the correct proportions. Beautiful eye and expression, small well set ears, which appears to be less common in the breed now. Lovely harsh coat, loose pelt and easily spanned. Good length of neck and well laid back shoulder. Nice tight feet. Good underline and topline. Well bent stifle and well let down hocks. Moved soundly. BB & BOB.
