Second Place in Yearling, Judge: Miss G Lowe (Rockslade)
I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge at their show for my first judging appointment. The show was well run, friendly and I received a warm welcome upon arrival. I would also like to thank all those who entered under me especially in the current climate with travelling costs.. A big thank you to my very capable steward Richard Wright for ensuring that the ring ran well.
I was pleased with my entry and there were some quality exbibits in attendance. I did find a number of exhibits to be short on undercoat and one untidy mouth. Some long nails and dirty teeth which need addressing.
The first 3 were excellent quality exhibits and the most difficult class of the day
Quality bitch and one who I have admired ringside. Feminine otter head with keen expression and scissor bite. I really liked her for size and type. Excellent construction front and rear, moderate length of neck flowing into a level topline, good tail set and a short carroty tail. Excellent in rib, easy to span. Harsh double jacket with a thick loose pelt. Sadly she didn’t settle on the move today which cost her a placing.
