Stafford & District Canine Society Open Show (23-09-2023)

First Place in Yearling, Judge: Miss G Lowe (Rockslade)

Show Critique:

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge at their show for my first judging appointment. The show was well run, friendly and I received a warm welcome upon arrival. I would also like to thank all those who entered under me especially in the current climate with travelling costs.. A big thank you to my very capable steward Richard Wright for ensuring that the ring ran well.

I was pleased with my entry and there were some quality exbibits in attendance. I did find a number of exhibits to be short on undercoat and one untidy mouth. Some long nails and dirty teeth which need addressing.

Class Critique:

The first 3 were excellent quality exhibits and the most difficult class of the day

Placing Critique:

Masculine otter head with dark eye and good expression, well sized teeth in a scissor bite. He moved well coming and going with a good topline and tail set which he held on the move. Thick tweedy jacket, harsh texture on a thick loose pelt. Ribbed well back and spannable. Straight front with good angulation front and rear. Presented in good order and shown to his advantage.
