First Place in Special Yearling, Judge: Jane Eyeington (Meadowdale)
I would like to thank the officers and committee of this well-run show for their kind invitation to judge. I was delighted with the super dogs that I had the pleasure of judging, all a real credit to you. A huge thank you to the exhibitors for the honour of your lovely dogs. A huge thank you to my 2 very efficient stewards, who also had a very long day, the show could not go on without you, so thank you.
Lovely class of youngsters
Just loved her, 11 month old grizzle bitch, she is the epitome of a smart and functional border terrier. She shows herself off with aplomb and typical attitude. Liked her overall size and balance. Lovely head piece, good width to the back skull, neat ears lying close to cheek, dark inquisitive eyes, and a strong short muzzle. Straight forelegs onto small neat feet, good depth to the brisket, but narrow all through so easily spannable, with a carrot tail. Pleasing hindquarters with a good width of thigh. Sound on the move and holding her outline in profile. Harsh jacket and thick pelt. I shall certainly watch her with interest – BOB & BP & Puppy Group 1 & BPIS
