The Northern Border Terrier Club Open Show (08-04-2023)

Second Place in Open - Dog, Judge: Mrs J Carr (Wreighaugh)

Show Critique:

My thanks go to the Committee of the NBTC for their invitation to judge their Open Show. I was honoured to receive this appointment and am incredibly grateful to the exhibitors who gave me such a great entry. It was a most enjoyable day and special thanks go to my Stewards, Andrea Pitt and Mark Atkinson, for keeping me on track and helping the ring to run smoothly.

Placing Critique:

Grizzle and Tan. Lovely masculine headed dog. Strong jaw and correct dentition, slightly longer muzzle than 1. Nice dark eye and expression, good ear set. He has a good front assembly with well angled shoulders and strong legs. His ribs are carried well back and he is easily spanned, has a strong loin and well angulated and muscled quarters. His tail set and carriage are good and he was in great coat. Moved soundly. On the day I just preferred the head and overall movement of 1. He was a strong challenger for RBD
