First Place in Junior - Dog, Judge: Roger Mann (Lynsett)
My thanks go to the committee of Midland Border Terrier Club for their invitation to judge the February Open show. I had some lovely dogs to judge & would like to thank the exhibitors for their entries. I thoroughly enjoyed my day.
17mth Grizzle with a super masculine head. Great strength of muzzle, correct bite, good eye shape, width of skull & well set neat ears. Balanced angulation all through. Stands on straight legs & neat tight feet. Level topline & well set tail. Correct depth of chest, narrow all through with ribs that reach well back. Easily spanned with a super coat of harsh texture & thick loose pelt. Racy hindquarters. Moved out well here to take the class & later in the challenge Best Dog & ultimately Reserve Best in Show & BOS.
