First Place in Open - Dog, Judge: Mrs M Wanless (Thorneyburn)
This was a last minute appointment for me, as Tina Jones had to stand down at the last moment owing to her Mothers serious illness.
What a super entry she had drawn!!! fifty one 1st entries and six repeats.
All dogs shown had good mouths, almost all had thick pelts and super harsh jackets.
All dogs were entire, and most were easily spanned.
Very smart 2 year old , well presented. Head good,strong jaw, with big teeth, dark eye, neat ears, into a nice length of neck. Good shoulder, a straight front, strong bone, tidy feet. Good length of rib, easily spanned and good rear angulation. He moved with a lovely ground covering stride, very responsive to his handler. In a close decision, I was pleased to award him BEST DOG.
