My sincere thanks go to the exhibitors for firstly entering their dogs under me and then for showing them in such adverse weather conditions. Not only had they the extreme heat to contend with but also the small steeply inclined ring still full of sheep droppings as well. Proper Border country !.
Very raw 15 month old Grizzle dog. Owns a strong masculine head, yet without any coarseness, moderately broad skull, correct eye shape and colour. Strong muzzle, correct scissor bite and large teeth. Well off for bone, straight front, good deep chest. Adequately angulated front and rear, good tail carriage. Moved steadily when asked, if a little lethargic. Coat was not in the best of condition. I am sure that there is a respectable dog under there somewhere, he just needs a lot more time spent on coat preparation and ring training to be able present him to his best advantage in the show ring.
