First Place in Post Graduate, Judge: Mr R Wright (Borderexpress)

Show Critique:

A big thank you to the committee/officers of the Sunderland & District Canine Society for asking me to judge the Border Terriers at today’s Premier Open Show. A lovely entry of 25 dogs so a big thank you to the exhibitors for supporting my entry today and presenting some really nice dogs.
Also a big thank you to my steward for the day, Mr Tom hall who kept not only my classes but all of the terrier ring for the day finishing off with the group.
Borders were first in the ring today so I had the chance to see all of the terrier classes develop during the morning and then pleased to see my Best Of Breed go Terrier Group 2 – well done.
A lovely friendly show well supported and being an outside event weather held and the sun shone for most of it. Thank you all again for a lovely day and your support -

Placing Critique:

21 month old Grizzle & Tan dog that you struggle to find anything to fault him, smart masculine head with a nice expression and dark eye. His front construction is gun barrel straight leading into super lay of shoulder and a lovely flat rib – this construction gives him a narrow look throughout. He has a lovely rear angulation and this helps him move around the ring with purpose, set down in a lovely jacket and nice thick pelt. Pleased to award him BOB on the day and nice to see him go on and get PG2.
