Second Place in Post Graduate - Bitch, Judge: Mr. Tim Ball (Kaitak)
A thoroughly enjoyable day and my thanks go to the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge their well-run Open Show. I was delighted with the excellent entry and what a pleasure it was to spend a day with the Borders and their owners. There were some well-filled classes which gave me lots to think about and some decisions were extremely close. A lovely atmosphere prevailed and applause for the winners was consistent throughout.
This 19 mth old is another of quality and she was so good to go over given her correct construction. She could make more of herself and unfortunately came up against the winner who is a real showgirl. She presented a nicely balanced outline with moderate length of neck, correct topline, well ribbed back, firm loin and tail set and carried correctly. Quality head with keen expression; skull of moderate breadth, excellent eye and ear, strong muzzle of correct length to balance and good dentition. Shoulders well laid, straight forelegs with correct breadth of chest, very good feet and well muscled hindquarters with pleasing turn of stifle. Harsh jacket with dense undercoat. Moving freely all through.
