Second Place in Novice - Bitch, Judge: Mr. Tim Ball (Kaitak)
A thoroughly enjoyable day and my thanks go to the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge their well-run Open Show. I was delighted with the excellent entry and what a pleasure it was to spend a day with the Borders and their owners. There were some well-filled classes which gave me lots to think about and some decisions were extremely close. A lovely atmosphere prevailed and applause for the winners was consistent throughout.
3 yr old who could make more of herself to help her cause. She presented a pleasing outline with neck of correct length to balance, straight topline, strong loin and thick tail of correct carriage. Attractive head with feminine expression; moderately broad skull, dark eyes placed well apart, ears of correct size and set, short strong muzzle and good dentition. Straight front with correct breadth of chest but would like to see a tad more angulation in the rear. Not in her best jacket but pleasing pelt. Moving true on the down and back but could extend more on the go around.
