First Place in Minor Puppy - Bitch, Judge: Mr. Tim Ball (Kaitak)
A thoroughly enjoyable day and my thanks go to the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge their well-run Open Show. I was delighted with the excellent entry and what a pleasure it was to spend a day with the Borders and their owners. There were some well-filled classes which gave me lots to think about and some decisions were extremely close. A lovely atmosphere prevailed and applause for the winners was consistent throughout.
7 mth old who appealed for type and presented a pleasing outline with neck of good length to balance, correct topline, well ribbed back, strong loin and thick tail which is good for length, set and carriage. Feminine headpiece with moderate breadth to skull, dark expressive eyes, ears of correct set, short strong muzzle and scissor bite. She stands on very good feet although would like to see little more layback of shoulder. Firm rear with well let down hocks. Moving well on the go around, true when going away and ok when coming towards. Jacket of good texture with dense undercoat and nice thick pelt.
