Second Place in Open, Judge: Mrs Margaret Davies (Glenorchy)
Firstly many thanks to the Society for inviting me to judge at their Premier Show which was run very efficiently and had a lovely friendly atmosphere (the rosettes were super too) Thanks to my two very efficient stewards who kept me on track and last but by no means least the exhibitors for the lovely entry and their sportsmanship in accepting my decisions. I had some super dogs to go over, I had to split hairs and I could have done with more cards as many good dogs had to go home without one.
Stronger dog who was presented in excellent condition. He has a good head, dark eye and expression. Good reach of neck and well placed shoulders. Nice level topline which he held on the move. Good jacket and pelt. Another who gels well with his handler. Close decision but I just preferred the overall picture and size of 1.
